Resident Engineering Inspection Services for the Reconstruction of Roberto Clemente Plaza

JED Engineering was retained to provide resident engineering inspection services for the reconstruction of this plaza along 3^rd Avenue, from E. 148^th to E. 149^th St. in the Bronx. The intent of this project was to permanently improve what was once a busy five street intersection by creating a 15000 square foot pedestrian plaza, shorter pedestrian crossings and easier movement of buses.

The project also included work on adjacent streets and on Willis Avenue, between E. 147^th and E. 149^th St.  The installation of catch basins and 12 inch diameter water main pipes was included in the infrastructure work along with new hydrants, new curbs, sidewalks and extensive landscaping. All the above was part of making  this new, car free plaza, a welcoming, vibrant place to walk or relax.
