Resident Engineering Inspection Services for Main Street Reconstruction with Widened Sidewalks, Borough of Queens
JED, as a leading JV partner, was retained as the prime consultant to provide resident engineering inspection for this important project in the Flushing area of Queens. The contract work included the widening of sidewalks, reconstruction of new curbs, roadways and bus pads from 38th Avenue to 41St Avenue. Working hours on this project are from 9 pm until 5 am. Also included in the work is the reconstruction of approximately 150 linear feet of 30 inch diameter combined sewer, 21 catch basins with chute connections and the relocation of six fire hydrants. There were also new Wayfinding signs, Traffic signals, Street lighting installed and the re- installation of Special Bus System fare machines.
