Resident Engineering Inspection Services for New Combined Sewers and Water Mains in Penelope Avenue between 71^st and 74^th St. area

JED Engineering has been retained to provide Construction Inspection services for this vital infrastructure project.  The project is located in the Glendale section of Queens in Community Board #5 area, specifically in Penelope Avenue between 71^st St. and 74^th St.
The replacement of the combined sewers in the area is needed to alleviate flooding and sewer back-ups and to replace the old unlined cast iron water mains , which will improve water quality and pressure in the area.   The work includes the installation of approximately 945 linear feet of 18 inch diameter ESVP combined sewer, 600 linear feet of 24 inch diameter RCP combined sewer, and 400 linear feet of 30 inch diameter RCP combined sewer. Also included in the project is the replacement of approximately 3,000 linear feet of 8 inch diameter water main and 2,600 linear feet of 12 inch diameter main with new DIP. Also included in the water main work are new, hydrants and valves. The replacement of some sidewalks, curbs and roadways, street lighting and traffic signals is also included in this project.
